nVidia MSI 1060 3GB

Last night I replaced the two 290x's with a single nVidia MSI 1060 3GB in my desktop.  With some overclocking of the memory by 920Mhz, I was able to hit 25Mh on DaggerHashimoto.  I also downclocked the core by 200Mhz to save some wattage.  It is running at a cool 51C.

This blog's purpose is to log my adventures in mining.

Currently I have an Antminer S3+ mining on ckpool's solo pool  Hopefully I'll hit the lottery and pop a block some day.  This is the only ASIC have remaining.

On the GPU front, I have two 290x video cards mining on Nicehash.  These are running in Windows 10 on my desktop.  Claymore dual miner is my miner of choice.  I run these in single mode only mining DaggerHashimoto.  This lowers the fee from 2%+2%(DaggerHashimoto + Decred) to 1%.  DaggerHashimoto and Decred was using 50 to 75 watts more power per card than just running DaggerHashimoto.  I was able to overclock the cards to make up for the loss of Decred profit.  This puts me at roughly 31MegaHash per card with a 50 watt savings.

Tomorrow I should be receiving my Nvidia 1060 3GB.  I will be moving the 290x's to the mining rig and have everything mining.
